Tom Brendel
Tom S. Brendel served in the United States Air Force as a Security Specialist (Military Police). He worked at MacDill Air Force Base where he had many assignments to the United States Readiness Command / Joint Task Force Bravo, the United States Special Operations Command, and the United States Central Command. He was deployed to both the Middle East and Central America. He earned multiple awards for Expert Marksman, and ended his enlistment as a Non-Commissioned Officer.

Tom has worked as a State of Florida licensed Paramedic since 1992, and holds a degree in Emergency Medical Services Technology. He has worked in Emergency Departments and was second in command of a private (armed) emergency medical service program. He is also a State-certified Firefighter and Law Enforcement Officer with over thirty cumulative years of service between the military and public safety services.

He has been employed as a Public Safety Officer (Police Officer / Firefighter / Paramedic) with the North Palm Beach Department of Public Safety since 2000. He held the position of Tactical Paramedic / Breacher on the Department’s SWAT Team. – His knowledge of wound ballistics and gunshot trauma was pivotal in the team’s weapons and ammunition selection.

Tom has had additional training in Crisis Intervention, and has the additional roles of Advanced TASER Instructor, CMS Firearms Instructor, Armorer, and lead Advisor for the North Palm Beach Police Explorers Post #911.

He is currently assigned to the Road Patrol and Training Divisions.
